I know many people would like the timelapse feature in this model, but there is a problem with the device overheating when recording slow motion from two cameras. According to the manufacturer, this is technically impossible and can lead to bad consequences.
But there is a solution! Add the timelapse function only for the front camera. Without the second camera.
I want to explore the demand for the timelapse feature for the front camera only.
It's better than nothing. Is there any support for this proposal?
With a lot of feedback, we'll see this feature soon. Please write in the comments if you need this feature.
Being a developer however I don't see how heat can be a factor here, it's a timelapse after all, if you can have the dashcam running 24/7 at a normal speed like 30-60fps you can also have it running at 1-5fps for a timelapse, it really makes no sense that heat is a factor here.
What is the reason for the camera overheating when capturing BELOW normal speed and usage, generating theoretically, less heat.
If it's some sort of post processing, dumping the images into a folder and requiring the user to process then afterwards isn't really a problem
Definetely needed. 24h parking mode is useless at this moment. Considering changing to another dashcam which supports time lapse or buffered mode. My previous Blackvue did support it, but image quality of 70mai is far more better.
Even lower resolution will be sufficient for most people. timelapse/buffering is just for incidents to cover. not for 4K beautiful traveling video's ;-)
