I know that many people need the timelapse function in this model, but there is a problem with the device overheating when recording slow motion from two cameras. According to the manufacturer, this is technically impossible and can lead to bad consequences.
But there is a solution based on the example of the Chinese version. There is a timelapse function only for the front camera. Without the second camera.
I want to study the demand for the timelapse function only for the front camera.
Is there any support for this proposal?
Thanks to the large number of reviews, we will see this feature soon. Please write in the comments if you need this feature.
Hello everyone! I really need the timelaps function for international firmware, please add it !!! I only use one camera and I don't see this as a problem. At the moment I am using the Chinese version of the firmware and for me this is a very bad experience, since there is no translation. I'm looking forward to the timelapse functionality on the international firmware.
What！！！ This topic receives 60 views and 4 comments with 3 thumb ups in an hour. I will ask the developers to add this feature and pushing the whole process if there are more than 10 users who wants to add the time-lapse feature for the front camera only.
Being a developer however I don't see how heat can be a factor here, it's a timelapse after all, if you can have the dashcam running 24/7 at a normal speed like 30-60fps you can also have it running at 1-5fps for a timelapse, it really makes no sense that heat is a factor here.
What is the reason for the camera overheating when capturing BELOW normal speed and usage, generating theoretically, less heat.
If it's some sort of post processing, dumping the images into a folder and requiring the user to process then afterwards isn't really a problem
As already mentioned in a different topic, I bought the camera mainly for this feature, corelated with the voice control function. So, I would very appreciate the add of time lapse. If needed, ready to be a tester.
Greetings! I bought a 500s model with two cameras and during my research I discovered that in parking mode there is a 12 second delay between impact and start of recording. This is a lot. This is probably due to the time the device was turned on. Then I expected to find a time-lapse function, but it's not there! O_o Probably there are reasons, for example, overheating. But I really ask you to add a time-lapse function. In general, it will be very cool if there are two types of time-lapse: 1) for the front camera with a frequency of 1 frame per second and 2) for the front and rear cameras with a frequency of 1 frame in 2 seconds (then the processor will probably not overheat).
The function is very necessary, because of it, I bought a registrar instead of an excellent registrar ,but without constant monitoring. The car is parked in a public yard ,and children often run around the car, so you need to know who scratched it and what, at least from the front. Of course, it would not hurt to see what is happening from behind, too, but at least from the front .
Are you serious?
Do you know that the DVR turns on after a blow in 7-10 seconds? Do you think he w ...
Then, parking mode is useless. I have IP camera that records only when movement is detected but recording starts 10s before movement. That way, entire event is recorded. If parking mode records video only after event, then it doesn't serve it's purpose.
Good day. This function is very much needed by many. I propose to make a way out of the situation. For example, setting the Timeplay, where the user himself can specify a delay of 1 frame in 60-300 seconds. It is also optional to make the choice of turning on the rear camera in this mode. To protect against overheating, you can make the protection mode and the transition to parking mode or increasing the delay. Please pass the information on to the developers. Thank you for understanding.
